Remembering

10/18/2017

Back in June I wrote an article about WORTH, and what it meant to hire a professional photographer.  I want you all to remember what it means to have that portrait of yourself or with your family. If you haven't read it, here is the link.
Why me?
As we go on with life and everyday challenges, we must remember that time flies by very fast! Before you know it, the week is over, the months have passed and its a year later. All those things you told yourself you wanted to get done, never happened.  So, you pushed them to next year, and the year after. Your children are now grown, and have gone off to college. You try to think back when they were babies, what it was like the first day of kindergarten. The first time they rode their bike with no training wheels, or even when they passed their drivers test. You go to your closet or storage and start to drag out that box you have stashed away with all your memories and you start digging for photos of your children or maybe even photos of your mom who passed away a few years back and you realize……. you don't have as many as you thought you did. Then you REMEMBER that was one of the things you promised yourself you were going to do that year!

SLOW DOWN people, the world is not going to stop spinning, the house will never be clean enough, the laundry will always need to be done, bills will never go away, and work will be there the next day. There will be soccer games to go to, baseball practice, dance class, and lots of birthday parties......

You need to ask yourself, what are you doing to build memories, what are you doing to CAPTURE those memories, because simply being there is not enough! The laundry can wait, you can miss one game of practice, you can take a sick day off of work. Schedule an appointment to have your portraits taken of you and your family.  Why do I say this? because you'll forget to print those photos of you and your family from that trip you took with your fancy camera you purchased.  You'll never print the photos you've taken with your phone, or you'll forget all together to take photos. WHY? Because life happens, we get busy, were too tired, whatever the reason is, this is why it is important to schedule a session with a professional photographer. The only job you need to do is to look fabulous and smile.
Remember what is important. When your long gone, what will be left of you, for your loved ones to remember you by? Make time!

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.-Dr Seuss
