Poor Customer Service

I wanted to talk about a few things that happen to me today regarding customer service. This is something I make sure to work on with every client I meet and try to perfect.  I understand with every type of business, there is a certain level of customer service, but I believe if you are a great owner, manager or supervisor then you would make sure your employees or even yourself give the upmost respect customer service to everyone that buys from you. 

My phone bill was due today, and I realized I had to go inside the store to pay my bill. My phone service is thru Boost Mobile so I went to our local mobile store. When I walked in, there was a young lady with her child and grandmother and they were activating a new phone.  I walked in and the girl at the desk, didn't even flinch, she didn't look at me or even say "I'll be with you in a moment".  As I was standing there waiting I thought to myself, Wow she hasn't even looked at me to acknowledge she has a customer. I started to get a little frustrated and cleared my throat. She still didn't look at me. I stood there waiting for about 5 minutes without a greeting. I realized I wasn't going to get any help, so I walked out pissed and frustrated. 

I realize this is a mobile service store and the help are a majority of kids, but it doesn't excuse the fact that she didn't even acknowledge that i came into the store. Its upsetting the lack of skills and training kids get now a days, not to mention the lack of respect and customer service. 

ANOTHER BAD EXPERIENCE.

I also had another bad experience today regarding my tax return, I was referred to a lady named Stella who is known here in town for her services, so I took a chance since she was well referred. In my line of work, I never blur lines and I make sure I am a 100% upfront with my clients. I put my trust in a stranger who I thought had my best interest but was lied to. 
  • She never gave me a service fee amount until she was done, so total sticker shock
  • She gave me false information regarding when I was going to get my return, she stated a week.
My point is, when someone is investing a big amount of money into your services, I suggest you be upfront with costs, give your best customer service and answer every questions they may have, TRUTHFULLY. 


If you are an owner of a business, service or a Manager just remember all people want is honestly and a little acknowledgement. Train your employees well, teach them people skills and how to treat customer because that will help them go along way.  As far as owners, get your shit together because no one wants shitty service!!
